FREE LLM Translator for WhatsApp Web (“the extension”) is an unofficial tool and is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.
What the extension handles
| Data | Where it goes | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your settings and API keys | Stored only in your browser (chrome.storage.local) |
To call the AI provider you chose |
| Text of chat messages shown on screen, a few previous messages for context (with sender display names), and drafts you choose to translate | Sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you selected (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google) | To translate them |
What the extension does not do
- The developer runs no server and receives none of your data.
- No analytics, tracking, ads or selling of data.
- Messages are never sent on your behalf; outgoing translations replace your draft only when you ask.
AI providers
Translated text is processed under the policy of the provider whose API key you entered: Anthropic · OpenAI · Google.
Removing your data
Uninstalling the extension deletes the stored settings and API keys.
